What you Need to Know About Studying in Canada: Visas and Study Permits

Study Permit

Prep Doctors™ is here to guide you in understanding Canadian Study Permit and Visa requirements. A major advantage of choosing to study at Prep Doctors is that you do not need to apply for a Study Permit. Prep Doctors saves you time and money because of our efficient and compact course curriculum. We offer courses that last less than six months, which means that Prep Doctors is considered a short-term program under Study Permit exceptions. According to Citizenship and Immigration Canada, you are permitted to study in Canada without a study permit if you are enrolled in a short-term program. The CIC webstie states that you are allowed to study in Canada if:

  • The duration of your course or program of study is six months or less; and
  • You will complete your course or studies within the time you are allowed to stay in Canada.

For more details please refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website here.

Visitor Visa

There are different steps for entering into Canada depending on what country you come from. Even though you do not need a study permit to study at Prep Doctors, you may be required to obtain a Visitor Visa to enter into Canada, if you come from a country that is not visa exempt. When considering your decision to study with us, please note that Canada requires some foreign nationals to apply for a Visitor Visa before entering the country. To find out if you need a Visitor Visa please visit the Government of Canada website here.

Letter of Invitation to Canada

Your success is our success. Please rest assured that Prep Doctors is here to support you with all the necessary assistance to come to Canada and throughout your studies in Canada. Our team of professionals will be happy to assist you in providing you with a Letter of Invitation to Canada, once you have registered for one of our courses.
